Wow! What a spectacular week in Year 5 to finish off the half term. 

This week, we travelled to Birmingham to the incredible Symphony Hall. There we were treated to a mesmerising performance by the 85 strong City of Birmingham Orchestra. 

We were guided through a journey of music from around the world - taking in pieces from as far away as Japan, Russia and Venezuela. We also were treated to more familiar pieces from films such as Harry Potter and Pirates of the Caribbean. 

The sound that the orchestra produced were incredible and had all of the children in the hall clapping along. At the same time, we were shown just how incredible the acoustics of the Symphony Hall are when a pin was dropped on the stage and yet we were all able to hear it. 

Also this week, we were visited by Kevin from Castle Hill Baptist Church who helped us with our RE learning about ancient stories. He explained to us all about how the Bible is made up and explained a little about his own learning from it.
